Jane Birkin inspiroitunut asu - Jane Birkin inspired outfit

 Ihastuin tänä kesänä aivan vallattomasti brittiläissyntyisen Jane Birkinin 60- ja 70-lukujen tyyliin. Keräsin kansioihin kuvia hänestä ja hänen asuistaan ja täytin tumblrini hänellä. Samalla aloin etsimään kirppareilta ja käytettyjen tekstiilien myymälöistä hänen tämän aikaista tyyliään henkiviä vaatekappaleita. Löysin aivan ihania valkoisia puuvillapaitoja ja -toppeja pitsillä ja ilman sekä useammat leveälahkeiset ja mukavat farkut koluttuani kymmeniä pareja läpi etsien niitä täydellisiä.

I fell for the British born actress Jane Birkin's style in the 60's and 70's this summer and oh did I fall hard! I started to collect photos of her in my computer files and filled my tumblr with pictures of her. At the same time I started to search for Birkin-esque items from thrift and second-hand shops. On my search I found absolutely beautiful and wonderful cotton blouses and tops with and without lace and also several pairs of wide-legged and comfy jeans after going through over 20 pairs of them searching for the perfect ones.

Tähän asuun valitsin ne kaikista lemppareimmat tällä hetkellä: täydelliset korkeavyötäröiset reisistä tiukat, mutta lahkeesta leveät farkut (joita jouduin lyhyyteni vuoksi kuitenkin hieman lyhentämään), valkoinen prinsessahihainen pitsikoristeltu pusero, ruskeat nahkaiset nilkkurit sekä kukkakirjailtu pikkuinen olkalaukku. Kaikki asun osat ovat käytettynä hankittu ja olen siitä erittäin iloinen. Pikkurahalla voi löytyä todella toimivia asukokonaisuuksia ja minusta tämä henkii sitä rentoa 70-luvun meininkiä ja on mukavan tyttömäinen.

In this outfit I gathered my most favourite pieces at the moment: the perfect pair of high-waisted sleek on thighs and wide-legged jeans (which I had to shorten because of my height), white blouse with princess sleeves and lace embroidery, brown leather ankle boots and a flower embroidered shoulder bag. The entire outfit is second-hand and I couldn't be more happy about it! You truly can compile near perfect outfits from thrifted items and I love how this one breathes the easy breezy 70's and is nice and girly.

Lempeys itseä kohtaan - Tenderness towards yourself

Kirjoitan nyt aiheesta, josta olen viimeisen vuoden aikana oppinut paljon ja opin koko ajan lisää kasvaessani ja kohdatessani ongelmia, iloja, suruja ja onnenkolahduksia. Asia, joka on oikeasti niin yksinkertainen, mutta myös yksinkertaisesti niin hankala samaan aikaan. Lempeys itseä kohtaan.

For the last year I have been learning about a thing and am still constantly learning about as I keep on growing, developing, stumbling through happiness, sadness and lucky draws. A thing that is truly so simple, but also so simply hard at the same time; tenderness towards yourself.

Ketä kohtaan olemme yleensä kaikista ankarimpia, juuri sitä kohtaan, joka on meille kaikista tärkein; minä itse. Se voi olla pientä vähättelyä, itseltä paljon vaatimista, ylisuorittamista, sitä ettei anna itselle aikaa palautua. Mitä vain mikä saa meidät kokemaan, etten ole tarpeeksi hyvä tällaisena, etten riitä sellaisena ihmisenä ja olentona, joka sillä hetkellä satun olemaan.

Who is the one we are the most harsh towards to? The one that really is the most important to ourselves: me, myself. It can be small belittleings, having high standards in situations unrequired, over-achieving, not giving yourself time to heal. Whatever makes us feel we aren't good enough as we are that we aren't enough as a person nor as a being which we happen to be at that certain moment.

Jokainen elämä ja vaihe siinä on ainutlaatuinen ja tärkeä meidän kehittymisemme ja olemisemme kannalta. Joskus meille sattuu ja tapahtuu positiivisia, mutta myös negatiivisia kokemuksia ja sattumuksia, joihin suhtautuminen riippuu niin tilanteesta kuin sen hetkisestä minästä. Vain siihen voi vaikuttaa suoraan miten kokee itsensä ja hyväksyy oman olemisensa näissä tilanteissa.

Each life and part of it is unique and important regarding our development and being as a whole. Sometimes we go through postive and sometimes negative occurences and happenings and our reaction to these depends on the situation and also on our current self. Only thing we can truly try to influence on is how we experience ourselves and accept our own being at that moment.

Lempeys. Osaamme kokea empatiaa muita kohtaan ja se usein tuntuu helpolta kuin ei miltään. Mutta miten olla itselleen empaattinen, lempeä. Antaa tilaa hengittää ja olla siinä yhdessä hetkessä vain minuna ja ottaa itsensä täysin sellaisena kuin sattuu nyt vain olemaan. Mikä olisikaan mahtavampaa kuin tuntea rakkautta ja myötätuntoa itseä kohtaan. 

Tenderness. We can feel empathy rather easily towards others and often it feels like no big deal whatsoever. But how can you be tender towards your own self? Letting yourself breathe and be at that one moment as myself and take yourself fully as you happen to just be. What would be even greater than to feel love and empathy towards yourself unconditionally.

Joudut viettämääm elämäsi kokonaan yhden henkilön kanssa ja se olet sinä. Mikset katsoisi itseäsi kuin toista ihmistä ja hyväksyisi itsesi kuten hyväksyt muutkin lähelläsi. Sinussa on niin paljon ettei niitä pysty edes laskemaan, et ole mikään tietty kohta tai kohdat, jota haluaisit arvostella vaan täysi ihminen vaikka kokisitkin olevasi jostain vajaa. Se on aivan okei. 

The only person you have to spend your entire life with is You. Why wouldn't you want to see yourself as you see other people around you; "flawed" yet as good as they can be. You have so much in you that it can not be measured. You are not those certain things you wish to judge and belittle in you, you are a whole person even if you feel less. And that is completely okay.

Punainen trenssitakki - Red trench coat

Tästä löytyvät toiset tämän syksyn kulmakivistä; punainen trenssitakki ja tämä ihana 70-lukulainen punainen mekko. Takki on keväinen lahja poikaystävältäni, kun toivoin punaista takkia piristämään ulkovaatetustani ja tämän löydettyäni hän sen minulle hankki. Mekko löytyi eiliseltä reissulta kierrätyskeskukseen se maksoi huimat 3 euroa mikä on minusta suunnaton ihme: mekko on puuvillaa, se istuu päälleni kuin nakutettu, siinä on lyhyet, mutta tarpeeksi pitkät hihat ja aivan ihana ja imarteleva midi-helma. Lierihattu on myös keväällä alennusmyynneistä hankittu, haluaisin oppia käyttämään sitä enemmän, sillä pidän sen tuomasta viimeistelystä asuihin. Kengät ovat vanhat Vagabondin nilkkurit, jotka ovat ennen jääneet vähälle käytölle, ehkä nyt on niiden syksy!

Here are another two of my fall-style's cornerstones: red trench coat and this wonderful 70's styled red dress. The coat is a present from my boyfriend from this spring when I was wishing for a red coat to brighten up my coat collection which was rather uneventful at that time. So when I found this coat he got it for me. The dress is from yesterday's trip to the recycle centre near us and it only cost me 3 euros! That's just crazy: the dress is of cotton, fits me like a glove, has short yet not sleeves and has a beautiful midi-skirt. The brimmed hat is also from this spring  and I would love to learn wear it more as it gives nice final touches to outfits. And the shoes are old Vagabonds which I just haven't been used to wearing before but haven't had the heart to give away. Maybe  this will be their fall!

Sisustusinspiraatiota - Interior inspiration

Olen tässä ohessa kerännyt Instagramissa sisustusinspiraatiokuvia kansioon, kun sellainen mahdollisuus tuli. Tästä näkee minkä tyylisestä pidän erittäin paljon. Värejä saisi vain olla vielä enemmän, mutta perusasiat, valkoinen, puunväri, kasvit, vihreys, matot ja söpöt koristetyynyt pysyvät hallitsevina, sekä kahisevan valkoiset lakanat, joita rakastan eritoten. Se mitä haen on kodikkuus, lämpö ja mukavuus. Kasveja haluaisin lisää jos saisin pidettyä hengissä edes jotain. Mahdollisesti kun saamme kotimme valmiimmaksi laitan sisustuskuvia, katsellaan.

I've been collecting interior inspiration pictures on Instagram since the feature came and this is what I adore in interior design: white, wood, plants, green, carpets and cute interior pillows. There should be more colours to please me entirely but white sheets are already what makes me insanely happy, wishing we could get some one day. What I wish to have my home look like is homely, warm and cozy. Plants are something I wish i could get more in this household but I need to find some I can keep alive. Maybe when we get our home more ready I can make an apartment post, we'll see.

Täydellinen syysmekko - The perfect dress for fall

Olen viimeisen kuukauden ajan etsinyt sitä yhtä tai kahta syksyn hittituotetta joiden ympärille rakentaisin syystyyliäni, kun ilmat alkavat viilentyä. Yksi kantavista tekijöistä oli keltainen väri. Jonkin sävyisenä ei liian kirkkaana vaan lämpimänä ja hyväksyvänä ottaen syksyn ilolla vastaan.

For the past month or so I've been searching for that one or two items I'd build my fall style on when the weather starts getting chillier. One the main things I build my search on was the colour yellow. Not too bright but warm and accepting of the fall season.

Eilen Uffilla pyörähtäessäni iskin silmäni muutamaan kappaleeseen, mutta löytäessäni tämän mekon vaaterekissä roikkumassa oli minun pakko päästä sitä sovittamaan. Sovittaessani asia vain varmentui: minun oli saatava tämä mekko, se istui päälleni niin hyvin näyttämättä tätimäiseltä modernihkon printtinsä ansiosta ja etumuksensa rintahalkion avulla. Hihatkin ovat sopivan pituiset ja elegantit, jolloin mekko sopii hyvin arkeen tai juhlaan, se on myös erittäin mukavaa ja laskeutuvaa kangasta, joka saa helmat liehumaan tuulessa kauniisti.

Yesterday when I visited UFF a few things caught my eye, but when I saw this dress hanging there I HAD to try it on. And when I was in the dressing room it became clear: I had to get this dress! It fit me well without making me look matronly with it's somewhat modern print and the triangle cut on the cleavage. The sleeves are a wonderful lenght making them look elegant, which makes the dress proper for many events and weekdays. It's also of this flowy sleek fabric which falls down perfectly and makes the skirt flow in the wind.

Korvistani löytyvät myös uudehkot Glitteristä ostamani klipsikorvikset. En tiennytkään aiemmin, että he vaihtavat tiettyihin koukkukorviksiin klipsikiinnikkeet ilmaiseksi ostaessasi klipsikappaleet korvisten lisäksi. Sain mahtavaa palvelua Malmin Glitter Outletissa sinne kannattaa suunnata jos on kiinnostunut tämän tyyppisistä ratkaisuista!

I'm also wearing a pair of silvery earrings, not too usual for me since I haven't got mine pierced. They were a normal pair of hook earrings which the shop assistant remodelled as clip-on ones. It feels fun having something nice dangling around your head and which also compliments and completes an outfit.

Pop it Rock it Friday - Vesala

Ajattelin (näin sairauspäiväni iloksi), että voisin alkaa pitää pientä musiikkinurkkausta, joko joka perjantai tai aina, kun innostun uusista ja myös vanhemmista biiseistä.

I thought (to brighten my sick day-off) that I could start posting a little Pop it Rock it Friday- music corner every other Friday or when I'm feeling really stoked about some new (or older) artist or songs.

Innostuin Vesalasta vasta tänä kesänä kunnolla, kun poikaystäväni lähetti mulle festareilta videoita hänen keikoiltaan. Toivoin joka kerta, että pystyisin olemaan siellä hänen kanssaan ja voisin vain tanssia sieluni kyllyydestä. Niissä biiseissä on vain jotain niin aitoa, että se lämmittää ja sykähdyttää omaa sisintäni voimakkaasti.

I got really into Vesala only this summer when my boyfriend sent me videos from her gigs at different festivals he went to. Each time I heard her sing (and play live) I was hoping I could be there dancing my hearts fullest with him. There's just something so genuine and real about her songs that just warms and thrills my innards very vividly.

Ja siitä asti olen kuunnellut biisejä hänen koko Spotify listaltaan niin levyä, sinkkuja kuin Vain elämää-albumilta. Pidän hänen otteestaan tehdä musiikkia ja pieni PMMP-fani minussa on niin onnellinen, että hän on päässyt tekemään ihan omaa juttuaan, kun se on alkanut tuntua oikealta. Viimeisin sinkku Muitaki ihmisii iskee muhun melkeinpä ihan liikaa, saa minussa aikaan tunteita ja fiilistelyä ja pystyn niin samaistumaan siihen ihmisuhderintamalla, että ei koskaan aiemmin.

Since then I've been listening to her songs on her entire Spotify list, the first album, singles and also her Vain elämää- album covers. I really enjoy her touch in making music and the little PMMP- fan in me is so happy for her getting to entirely do her own thing regarding music and life. The latest single Muitaki ihmisii hits so hard home for me when it comes to relationship(s) with other people and with the one, which no song has ever really done for me.

Levy Vesala taas on timanttia kokonaisuutena, mutta myös yksittäisinä biiseinä, voin kuunnella niitä koko päivän/viikon/kuukauden enkä kyllästy, vaan se on hyvää biletys-, chillailu- tai taustamusiikkia hetkeen kuin hetkeen.

The album Vesala is wonderful as a whole and as each individual song. I can listen to them for a day/week/month and never get bored, just the perfect party, chilling out and background music for each moment I keep encountering and feeling.

Lauantaifiilis - Saturday kind of vibe

 Tulikin pidempi tauko kuin oli tarkoitus, syynä siihen on koulunaloitus sählinki. sSain siis viikko sitten tietää, että pääsin hakemaani kouluun sisään! Katsotaan mitä tästä syntyy. Asuntommekin on ollut remontissa ja nyt on kaikki reilassa muuten kuin, että pitää vielä järjestellä tätä kaikkea tavarapaljoutta ja lempipuuhaani lisää sisustamista. Tämän päivän olen viettänyt yllä olevissa rennoissa vaatteissa, kun kävimme noutamassa uuden taulun makuuhuoneeseen ja samalla reissulla koristetyynyt makkarin sängylle. Toimeliasta, mutta samalla hidasta menoa. Mulla on ollut aika rankkaa totuttautua koulurytmiin pitkästä aikaa, mutta ainakin koulu vaikuttaa todella mukavalta paikalta mennä siitä plussaa.

It ended up being a longer break than I had anticipated the reason for it; I got into a new school I applied for and it has been a hassle week for me regarding it. Let's see what comes of it. Our apartment has also been under renovation and we only got new floors this week which means it's been a hassle right here as well. So many bags of stuff (mainly clothes oops) but it also means I get to decorate and find new things to decorate with to make it more homely and interesting. More us more than ever. Today has been spent in easy going clothes when we went to pick up a new painting for our bedroom and I managed to get some pillows to slap on the bed when it's made, a success. It has been at least slightly hard for me to get used to school life since it's been a while, but at least the school ands teachers seem nice and it's interesting.

Ostin pinkin oversize-hupparin keväällä BikBokista juuri tällaisia päiviä varten rentoon menevään menoon jolloin haluaa, että on mukavat vaatteet päällä. Kukkahousut ovat viileät ja mukavan löysät jalassa, ne myös piristävät asun kuin asun, hyvä muutaman euron kirppislöytö. Jalkaan laitoin käytettynä ostetut Niken tennarit, jotka vain ovat kuin tehdyt mun jalkaani.

I bought this pink oversize hoodie from BikBok this spring when they were everywhere having in mind days like these with an easy going mood and action when you wish to have something very comfy and cozy yet presentable on. The floral trousers are a great second-hand find, they're nice and cool and wonderfully comfy and they also make a statement in each outfit they're in. With them I wore my beloved second-hand Nikes which are almost as if made for my feet.

Vaaleanpunaiset housut - Baby pink trousers

Nämä vaaleanpunaiset housut ovat mahtava löytö Uffin 2e-päiviltä (ostin myös useamman muun jutun, hups!). Olen etsinyt viime aikoina kivan näköisiä liehuvia ja leveitä housuja ja myös unelmoinut söpöistä vaaleanpunaisista lahkeista. Näissä housuissa ne yhdistyvät ja liituraita tekee näistä vielä kivemmat. 

Yhdistin ne valkoiseen t-paitaan ja farkkutakkiin, koska halusin lookin olevan ajaton ja rento, kuin loma-asu. Kengät löytyivät eilen kierrätyskeskuksesta myös 2 eurolla(!). Ne ovat tarpeeksi kapoiset minun jalkoihini, joten ne pysyvät hyvin jalassa ilman remmejäkin, mikä on minulle todella harvinaista, ihana tuulahdus 2000-luvun alusta.

These baby pink wide-legged trousers where a fantastic find from Uff's 2e-days (as usual I bought a few other things as well, whoops!). I've been searching for nice looking flowy wide-legged trousers and have also been dreaming of finding a cute pair of pink ones. They all come together in this pair and the pinstripe makes these even nicer. 

I paired them up with a plain white t-shirt and a jean jacket because I wanted the look to be timeless and laid-back, a holiday outfit. I found these shoes from the recycling center yesterday for mere 2 euros as well. They are narrow enought for my feet which is a total surprise since these kind of shoes very rarely stay put on my feet properly so I had to get them, and they are a fun blast from the past early 2000's.

Culottes housut - Culottes in action

Olen omistanut nämä culottes-tyyppiset trikoohousut noin kolme vuotta niitä kuitenkaan kertaakaan käyttämättä. Jokin niissä ei vain ollut natsannut sen hetkiseen tyyliin, vaikka hyvin olisi voinutkin luulla, en ole kuitenkaan niitä laittanut eteenpäin toivoessani tämän hetken koittavan. Miettiessäni tämän päivän asua eilen muistuivat ne mieleeni ja päädyin tähän ihastuttavaan komboon. 

I've owned these culottes pants for around three years and never have I ever put them on to wear them outside before. Something about them drew me in but never really struck as a moment to wear them, but I never had the heart to get rid of them as I dreamed of the day I'd wear them and they felt mine. And as I was thinking about what to wear yesterday they came to my mind and I ended up with this lovely combo.

Sifonkinen pilkullinen röyhelöpaita on alunperin Zarasta, mutta löysin sen tori.fistä etsiessäni nättejä kevyitä kesäpaitoja. Enkä pysty vastustamaan pilkkuja ja röyhelöitä samassa vaatteessa, joten kävin sen itselleni ostamassa. Ihanat hopeiset loaferit löytyivät Fidasta 4 eurolla(!), ja kun ne sopivat jalkaani liki täydellisesti en miettinyt muutamaa sekuntia enempää vaan kiikutin ne kassalle Oisin laukun kanssa. 

Originally from Zara a wonderful rufley polkadot chiffon blouse, which I found from tori.fi (finnish website for used items etc.) as I was searching for cute and flowy summer shirts. I couldn't resist the ruffles and polkadots in one garment so I decided to buy it for myself. The lovely silver loafers are a bargain find from Fida for 4 euros(!) and they fit my feet so well it took me mere seconds to take them to the cashier along with the Ois bag I had found earlier.

Nykyistä vaatekaappiani katsellessa on outoa ajatella, että viel pari vuotta sitten pukeuduin ainoastaan mustaan (ja joskus harvoin harmaaseen) ja käytin niitä muutamaa samaa asua viikosta toiseen. Nyt se on täynnä värejä ja printtejä enkä malta odottaa, että saan keksiä uusia asuja jokaiselle päivälle. Ehkä se kertoo myös nykyisestä mielentilastani, odotan uusia päiviä edessäni ja ne eivät tunnu niin pakolta kuin silloin. Olen iloinen näistä muutoksista ja olen innoissani siitä, että saan kokeilla uusia muotituulia ja asukokonaisuuksia!

Looking at my closet nowadays it's almost weird to think that only a couple of years ago I dressed only in black (occasionally dark grey) and wore the few same outfits from week to week. Now it's full of colours and patterns and I can't wait to pick new outfits for each day. Maybe it also tells something about my current mental state; I look forward to each new day before me and the don't feel like a burden I have to deal with. I'm so happy about these changes and am looking forward to new fashion ideas and outfits to come!

Ihonhoitorutiini - Skincare routine

Ajattelin tehdä ihonhoitopostauksen tämän sateisen laiskottelulle pyhitetyn sunnuntain päätteeksi. Kuten monilla myös minulla on ollut ja on iho-ongelmia, kuten hormonaalista aknea ja kosteusköyhä sekaiho, joka kuivuu ja rasvoittuu omaan tahtiinsa. Nyt olen kuitenkin löytänyt suurin piirtein sellaisen ihonhoitorutiinin, joka pitää ihoni siedettävänä muutamia epäpuhtauksia lukuunottamatta ja olen siihen aika tyytyväinen.

I thought I could make a skincare post on this rainy Sunday to finish the day off spent lazying around. As many others I have had and still do have skin issues, in example hormonal acne and alot of moisture needing combination skin, which dries up and gets oily on it's own accord. But now I have found somewhat working skincare routine so that my skin looks alright despite having some pimples now and then and I am rather happy with it.

 Löysin tänä keväänä keskustelupalstalta kehutun Lactolinen pesunesteen ja päädyin sitä kokeilemaan ja nyt olen toisessa pullossani; tämä on tullut jäädäkseen. Iho ei jää nahkeaksi, mutta tuntuu sileältä ja puhtaalta, kun puhdistusaine on vaahdotettu ja pyöritelty iholla ja tämän jälkeen huuhdeltu lämpimällä vedellä. Pesen kasvoni tällä aamuin illoin (+ iltaisin käytän välillä LV:n misellivettä jos huomaan, että meikkiä on jäänyt hiusrajaan tai silmiin). Tuote on myös cruelty free, joten siitä plussaa.

This spring I read on some forum how they were praising a supermarket sold product Lactoline and I ended up trying it out and now I'm on my second bottle; this one's here to stay! It doesn't overly wash your skin making it feel almost really dry and tacky but rather than that leaves it feeling smooth and clean. I use this morning and evening (sometimes I use LV Micellar water to catch the last spots of make up on the hairline and eyes). And the product is Cruelty Free which is a huge plus.

 Pesun jälkeen laitan iholleni Derman Aftersun geeliä, joka on 99% aloe veraa. Käytän sitä niinkuin seerumin tilalla ja olen huomannut, että se toimii itselläni paremmin. Seuraavaksi kokeilen, jotain luonnonmukaista geeliä todennäköisimmin (mitään suosituksia?). Joskus, kun ihoni ei tunnu erityisen kuivalta käytän pelkästään tätä geeliä meikin alla ja siinä se toimii mainiosti ja pitää ihon mattaisena.

Kosteusvoiteena käytän tällä hetkellä Himalaya Herbalsin Nourishing Skin Cream, Aloe Vera and Winter Cherry. Olin kuullut tästä hyviä arvioita ja löysin sitä tuplapakkauksen Saiturin pörssistä pilkkahintaan niin päädyin sitä kokeilemaan. Kosteuttaa hyvin ja jättää ihon pehmeäksi imeydyttyään, mutta siinä kestää reilukin hetki, mutta iltaisin se ei haittaa mitään.

After cleaning my face I put on Derma Aftersun Gel which is 99% aloe vera. I use it instead of a proper serum and I have noticed it has worked better on me. After I've finished this tube I'll try some organic aloe vera gel (any recommendations?). Sometimes I use it on it's own under make up, especially when it's really hot and humid so that it stays nice and matt but not too dry.

At the moment I use as a moisturizer Himalaya Herbals Nourishing Skin Cream, Aloe Vera and Winter Cherry. I had heard good reviews on this one and when I found this real cheap at a cheapskate store I decided to try it. It moisturizes really well and leaves the skin extremely soft after it sinks in. But on a note it might take a while, but when it's evening it doesn't really bother me.

 Kasvonaamiot joihin olen erityisesti tykästynyt viimeisen puolen vuoden aikana ovat Earth Kiss Miracle Clay Facial Hydrate Bamboo Sheet Mask ja Organic Shopin Apricot&Mango Face Peeling ja Madagascan Aloe Face Gel-Mask.

Sheet maskit ovat uusin villitys Aasiasta ja olen ollut kiinnostunut niitä kokeilemaan, Earth Kissin ollessa vielä luonnonmukainen niin pisteitä ropisee lisää. Tuote myös itsessään toimii, ihosta tulee puhtaan tuntuinen, kimmoinen ja kuulas, hinta kuitenkin pitää tämän harvinaisena herkkuna sillä se on Sokoksella suhteellisen suolainen 2,90e.

Organic Shopin tuotteista, ei voi muuta sanoa, että ne antavat enemmän kuin hintansa arvosta. Aprikoosi- ja mangokuorinta kuorii ihoa todennäköisesti kemiallisesti, sillä siinä ei ole pieniä rakeita kuorimassa vaan massa on sileää ja levittyy hyvin. Ihota tulee kuorinnan jälkeen ihanan pehmeä ja, joka kerta kun käytän sitä ihmettelen miksi en käytä sitä useammin. Aloe vera maski taas kosteuttaa ja käytän sitä usein juurikin edellämainitun kuorinnan jälkeen tai sitten saunan jälkeen ja pidän sitä kasvoillani, kunnes se on melkein imeytynyt kokonaan ihoon ennen kuin pesen sen pois.

Facial masks I've gotten really fond of lately have been Earth Kiss Miracle Clay Facial Hydrate Bamboo Sheet Mask as well as Organic Shop Apricot&Mango Face Peeling and Madagascan Aloe Face Gel-Mask.

Sheet masks are the new hit in skincare landing here from Asia and I've been really interested to try them out and as Earth Kiss is 100% natural it makes it even more intriguing. The product itself works like a charm, it makes the skin feel clean bouncy and clear. But the price keeps this as a rare pleasure since 2,90e for one mask is a bit too pricey for me on a regular but a nice on an occasion.

What can you say about Organic Shops products other than that they offer you way more than what they cost. The Apricot and Mango peeling mask is I assume a chemically peeling mask since it doesn't have any grainy bits in it and is smooth and very easily applied. It makes your skin soft as a feather and each time I use it I wonder how I don't use it more often. The Aloe Vera mask is really hydrating and I usually use it after the Apricot and Mango peeling mask or after sauna and I keep it on my face for as long as it's almost completely absorbed into the skin before I wash it off.

Viimeiseksi otin kainaloiden ihon (olen todella laiska rasvaamaan ja kuorimaan kropan ihoa shame on me!). Olen käyttänyt tätä Urtekramin Roll-on Deo Crystal Aloe Vera kristallideodoranttia siitä asti, kun se on tullut Suomen markkinoille. Enkä ole vaihtamassa muuhun, sillä se pitää minun kainaloni hajuttomina ja ne eivät hikeenny yhtä paljon kuin deottomina päivinä. Plussaa vegaanisuudesta Urtekramille!

Last but not least I shall take the armpit skin (no other skincare products because I'm very lazy when it comes to peeling and moisturizing the skin anywhere other than around my face, shame on me! I'll work on it I promise.). I've used this Urtekram Roll-on Deo Crystal Aloe Vera crystal deodorant since it was launched here in Finland. And I'm not changing it nowhere in the future; it keeps my pits fresh and clean all day. And it's Vegan so what's not not like!

Meren äärellä - By the sea

Päädyimme tänään kiertelemään luontopolkuja Viikissä ja kotimatkalla pysähdyimme ottamaan kuvia Vanhankaupunginkosken lähellä meren äärellä. Keli oli mitä mainioin ja vietimmekin reissullamme kolmisen tuntia kävellen vaihdellen peltojen, metsikön ja meren laitamilla. Pyrimme ottamaan hyödyn näistä harvoista kauniista kesäpäivistä, joita on meille tänä kesänä suotu ja mikä sen parempi kuin uusiin paikkoihin tutustuminen.

Kuvia editoidessani huomasin, että olin pukeutunut merensävyisiin vaatteisiin kauttaaltaan. Paita on alelöyty keväältä, johon ihastuin täysin, kun näin sen netissä, hame taas on tämänpäiväinen löytö Uffilta ja laukku tarttui mukaan Fidalta eilen muutaman muunkin asian muassa (joita tulee näkymään tulevaisuudessa, vink).

English: We decided to spend the day after my boyfriends work walking down the nature paths around Viikki and on our way home we stopped by Vanhankaupunginkoski by the sea to snap some photos. The weather was as pleasant as ever and we ended up spending around three hours on our journey. We've been trying to make our best out of the very few nice days we've been given this summer and what better than getting to know new places.

When I was editing these photos I noticed I was clad from head to toe in shades of the sea. The shirt is a sales find from spring which I got infatuated with when I saw it online. The skirt is a find from UFF today when I stopped by the store and the bag (which I adore!) tagged along from Fida with a few other items (I'll be showing soon, wink).
